CMLS 2011 CMLS MLS Operations Survey

In March 2011 the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) and WAV Group reached out to the entire MLS community to gather insights about a variety of elements of MLS operations.  The goal of the survey was to provide each MLS with a benchmark to compare its operation to. When considering the addition of new services or programs, MLSs throughout North America can refer to the report to help them evaluate their service offerings relative to MLSs around the country.

New Ways to Leverage MLS Data

The official announcement of REALTOR® Property Resource (RPR) in 2009 by the National Association of REALTORS®(NAR) established a market value for multiple listing service property data to be used outside of the traditional real estate channel.

Benchmarking Survey

Letter to NAR ML Policy Committee April 2010

Dear Michael, I am writing as President of the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) to respectfully request a policy clarification from the NAR Multiple Listing Policy Committee regarding the requirement for listing brokers to submit listing photos and legally?required disclosures on the MLS system.
